Paintball Games

The original paintball game was played in New Hampshire in 1981 with the players using the “Bel-spot 007” pistol, which was used by farmers to mark livestock and trees, in a game of Capture the Flag. Nowadays, the game has involved to an extreme sport with competition, tournaments, leagues, and many different game variations (scenario, woodsball, speedball, and more).

The most popular game played is tournament style, usually consists of three, five, or ten man teams. At your local paintball field, the types of games differ; however, the most common two types of paintball games are woodsball and speedball.

Another choice with paintball games is the surroundings which it is played in, which are indoor or outdoor.

Another aspect of every player should know about are the Paintball Safety Rules. Every paintball field has referees to assure that players abide by them. This keeps the sport of paintball safe and entertaining for all the players. It is one of the safest extreme sports in existence.

Basic Games

The basic game variations are Aliens vs. Predators, Manhunt, Hostage Rescue, and Drop Point 20. Private parties have the choice to select any of these but sometimes the fields rotate through some of these variations with everyone.


Speedball

Scenario

The scenario paintball games are usually reenactments of famous battles in history involving a lot of participants, in the hundreds. In each game, players must complete detailed missions to be successful. Scenario games are known to last between 6 to 26 hours causing the players to completely plan every movement before the beginning of the game.


Stock Class

In the stock class paintball game, a player uses a pump action paintball gun, which requires a pumping movement after each shot to reload. Even though, this variation has lost status caused to the current improvement on the speed of paintball guns’ performance.
