Paintball Guns

In the sport of paintball, players have many choices when selecting a paintball gun. Not only do they have the choice of manufactures but also the gun types. These players could choose from a semi automatic, pump, electronic, pistol or even a stock paintball gun. When selecting the gun type, remember to figure out what this gun will be used for.

Semi Automatic

This type of paintball gun is the most commonly used by players. The shooting rate is as quick as the trigger can be pulled. Players, who want a sensitive trigger, most use a more expensive semi auto paintball gun.

Pump

The is mainly the cheaper types sold on the market. The players must manually pump the paintballs into the chamber similar to a shotgun mechanism.

Electronic

In the most part, the electric paintball gun is top of the line in quality. It has many different fire modes controlled by a computer chip, which makes it very easy to cycle through. A player can use the chip to change the shooting burst.

Pistol

Because of the low amount of ammo held, the paintball pistol is usually used as a back up weapon. The most regularly used power source is the 12-gram C02 cartridge. On the field, the pistol is great to defend yourself while reloading your primary gun.

Stock

The stock paintball gun is specially configured. It is often only seen in stock only games however it has been seen in regular games. This gun has a feed tube that only holds 10 paintballs and must be parallel to the entrance, requiring slanting to load it.
