Brass Eagle Manufacturer
Brass Eagle is the only paintball manufacturer to distribute its products to mass merchandisers. This company is known for its gun manufacturing and an extensive list of paintball merchandise. They have a variety of markers that range from affordable inexpensive models to high quality expensive models. They are considered worldwide leaders in the paintball industry. Brass Eagle also has a line of protective equipment. Their products are successfully distributed by Wal-Mart and Kmart.
Brass Eagle wasn’t always known by that name. In the 19th century, it was known as the Plymouth Iron Windmill Company, manufacturing the bases for windmills in Plymouth, Michigan. As industrialization grew, the company struggled. A local inventor, Clarence Hamilton, approached the company with his metal and wire invention that used compressed air to shoot a small lead ball. It was a “Daisy” of an idea! The gun was given as a gift with the purchase of a windmill base. Daisy Manufacturing was born in 1895 and they exclusively manufactured the BB gun. Again, times changed and so did they. James Hale invented and patented the “splotchmarker”. It was originally designed to mark trees and cattle for identification. Paintballing grew as a sport and in 1993, Daisy-Brass Eagle Manufacturing, was created and actively changed the image of the sport of paintball.
