Paintball Games

Over 20 years ago the first paintballing game was played in New Hampshire with 12 participants using the Nelspot 007 paintball gun. These participants played Woodsball, Capture the flag.

Paintball games are played in either the indoor or outdoor environment with many various types. Since the beginning, the rules of the game have involved to increase the safety of the players, which statistics show that paintballing is one of the safest extreme sports in existence.

Basic Game Types

The most common played paintballing games are Manhunt and Hostage Rescue. These games are acceptable on most commercial fields but some are only played privately. Additional variations are Drop Point 20, Medic Mania, and Village Guardians.

Scenario Paintball

The scenario paintball games are usually reenactments of famous battles in history involving a lot of participants, in the hundreds. In each game, players must complete detailed missions to be successful. A scenario game are know to last between 6 to 26 hours causing the players to completely plan every movement before the beginning of the game.

Woodsball

Woodsball is the original structure of paintballing. It has many well-known trendy variations and can be played in any natural environment. Meaning that this variation could be played in areas such as the woods, swamps, canyons, and mountains. Woodsball has a tendency to be more commonly played among small town or country paintballers.

Speedball

Speedball is faster speed with non-stop battle compared to other game variations. Each game normally last about 15 to 20 minutes on a small playing field with a few bunkers for both teams. There are many different types of speedball games.

Stock Paintball Games

In the stock class paintball game, a player uses a pump action paintball gun, which requires a pumping movement after each shot to reload. Even though, this variation has lost status caused to the current improvement on the speed of paintball gun’s performance.
