Paintball Safety Rules
When safety rules - most being common sense - are followed and understood, paintball is a safe extreme sport. 15 minutes of reading and understanding the safety rules is worth your time because it could prevent any unnecessary injuries. In most cases, anyone who violates or refuses to follow the required safety rules is issued a few warnings and eventually removed from the field. Keep in mind, without the necessary safety rules; this sport would be very dangerous.
As a paintball player, you should value and track every safety rule to keep this sport safer. Every time you step on the field you should be aware of the mandatory rules of safety. Those rules are used to keep you safe while participating in the scrimmages. Remember, the number one rule when participating in a paintball scrimmage is to never remove your facemask or goggles while on or around the field.
The following are safety rules that should be used when participating in the extreme sport of Paintballing.
Paintball Gun
- At all times, Handle your paintball gun as if it were loaded.
- Never shoot at another player when he or she is closer than 20ft.
- The velocity should never exceed 300fps.
- Always use a barrel sleeve or plug while not in play.
- Never look down a barrel.
Equipment
- At all times wear your facemask or goggles when paintball guns are around.
- Only professional airsmith should tamper with any modifications to your air-delivery system.
- Wear proper clothing that covers as much skin as possible.
- No modifying of any rental equipment.
Participating
- Never verbally abuse another player.
- Anyone without a mask should not be shot at.
- If another player is within 15 feet, you should give a verbal command to surrender.
- No blind shooting.
